Autumn,you mark the transformation from monsoon to winter
The subcontinent’s beauty and truly a season of joy
Stunning warm shades of orange and yellow
Colourful falling leaves and cool weather
Come Autumn and the arrival of vivrant festivals
A season comfortable for journeys and travels
From east to west and north to south
People start holidaying galore
Mothers in homes stay awaiting
When will children arrive for the festivities
Varieties of sweets prepared as frieends visit
How much fun the season brings
Clouds of cotton float the cerulean sky
Kas,its white stalks sway in the breeze
Are they cleaning the atmosphere,yes Mother will arrive
She will be happy,seeing everywhere neat and clean
