Can’t I go back

/

On the balcony

With my tea cup

How many times I have thought

Can’t I go back?

The day I played with the dust

Cooking rice dal with sand

My pots and pans

Were the coconut shells.

Can’t I go back?

My carefree student days

Coming from class

Throwing the books away

Gobbling the yummy things

Prepared by maa.

Can’t I go back?

Those lovey dovey days

Boys following  girls

So many complains and

So many quarrels.

How I wish to seek

A mother’s womb again

To start afresh

Which I have lost

And they are now my past.
