Gupchup–And a love story.

The elderly lady arrived with her NRI grandson at my stall on one evening.

The handsome  boy of nineteen had come to stay with his grandparents in vacation. The grand mother asked me to give him gupchups. The boy talked only  in English. He could understand the local language but was unable to speak it.

At that time a  girl came from the bungalow across the road to have my stuff. She took a plate and I made the golguppas for her. While eating she was giving shy glances at the boy.

Next day at 5 in the evening the lady came with the boy, and the girl also arrived .The granny talked with  the girl and introduced her to her grandson. The boy and girl were of same age. After 2 days the lady stopped  coming. She knew very well, the girl would manage communicating with  me on behalf of her grand son.

For a month the boy came exactly at 5 every evening  to relish my Pani poories and the pretty  girl too stucked to the time. At the end of June the boy left for London to his parents.

In one month both of them had bonded a sweet relationship within themselves. Their unending talk, the laughing and mirth had  delighted me a lot. But alas I missed it after his departure. The girl too stopped coming.

The summer of next year brought back the boy and  again both of them came . For another  month they both  happily enjoyed my gupchups together.
